At iSmile, we use the latest dental technology to effectively diagnose and treat our patients. Using modern technology allows our team to find emerging oral health problems, even before patients may notice them. Our quality dental technology and modern dental treatments deliver customized care in our Dundalk, MD dental office. Dr. Mohamed Hassan and his dental team at iSmile are better able to discover changes in patients’ oral health at routine appointments. It is important for patients to schedule regular dental visits so we can take regular x-rays and thoroughly examine the smile.

CEREC

We create dental crowns using Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEREC. CEREC uses computer-aided manufacturing and design (CAD/CAM) which allows us to create crowns in-office. Some patients are candidates for same-day dental crowns if they have worn, injured, or otherwise damaged teeth.

CBCT Scans

Cone-beam computed tomography creates 3-D images of the smile. CBCT scans take panoramic x-rays that capture the teeth, gums, jaw, and nerves of the mouth. We typically use this technology for our in-house guided implant surgery. With CBCT scans, we can determine where to place implants as well as if patients require bone grafting for implant treatment.

Inlays and Onlays

Also known as partial crowns, inlays and onlays cover the chewing surfaces of the teeth. Inlays cover the chewing surface between the tooth cusps and onlays cover the entire top of the tooth.

Clear Aligners

This modern alternative to traditional braces uses a series of clear aligners to straighten teeth. Each pair of clear aligners is different to shift the teeth into a straighter position. Because the aligners are removable, patients can eat the foods they love and thoroughly clean their smiles.

Bone Grafting

We recommend bone grafting treatment for some patients before they receive dental implants. Bone grafting takes healthy bone tissue from one part of the mouth and places it where it is needed. Patients may require bone grafting if they do not have enough healthy bone tissue to support their implants. During the implant process, the titanium implant posts fuse with the jaw bone.
